Mac Download Instructions

Ready-to-paste copy for the Mac download page, to sit directly below/beside the "Download for Mac" button. Addresses the macOS Gatekeeper "unidentified developer" warning before it confuses or scares off a real customer — see docs/BUILD_LOG.md Phase 5.2 and the "Windows Store update" section for the underlying reason (no Apple Developer Program membership yet, so the app isn't notarized).

Installing RotaHub on Mac

After downloading, macOS will show a warning the first time you open RotaHub — this is standard for any app distributed outside the Mac App Store, and isn't a reflection of a problem with RotaHub itself. It happens because Apple's additional notarization process (a separate, paid step from simply building the app) is still in progress on our end. Here's how to get past it, which only takes a few seconds and only needs doing once:

1. Open the downloaded file and drag RotaHub into your Applications folder.
2. Double-click RotaHub to open it. macOS will block it with a warning that it can't verify the app — click Done (not "Move to Trash").
3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
4. Scroll down to the Security section. You'll see a message that RotaHub was blocked, with an Open Anyway button next to it — click that.
5. Enter your Mac password or use Touch ID to confirm.
6. Double-click RotaHub once more — this time you'll see a simpler confirmation dialog. Click Open, and RotaHub will launch.

You won't need to repeat this — once you've opened it the first time, RotaHub opens normally from then on, just like any other app.
